Bikefest 2015

Bikefest is on Saturday 13th June. Venue: Ardvonie Park, Kingussie.

Programme:
11:00 - Bikefest opens
12:00 - First display by CLAN
12:30 - Pre-school and 5 year olds balance bike races
13:00 - Lower primary pedal races
1300 - Ride out option one
13:30 - Upper primary pedal races
14:00 - Second display by CLAN
14:30  - Ride out option two
3.30 pm - Third display by CLAN
16:00 - Bikefest draws to a close

ClanstuntsCLAN - We are proud to annnounce that CLAN will be headlining this year's event. Scotland’s Cycle Stunt Team will wow you with the most extreme and skillful cycling display show. Huge jumps, scary tricks and near-impossible feats of balance and nerve on their custom-built stunt rig. Prepare to be amazed!

Dr Bike Dave Keegan makes some repairsBothy Bikes, pre Bikeathon safety check and lots of different bikes to try out. Bring along your Bikeathon race number to the Bothy Bikes stand to get a free safety check ahead of Sunday's ride!
new start bikeBike amnesty – New Start Bikes are accepting donations of used bikes and parts. New Start Bikes gives donated bikes a new lease of life, using their workshop to not only transform bikes but also lives by providing training to help people get into employment.
They will also have a number of rerurbished childrens and adults bike for sale. All profit made supports tackling homelessness and poverty throughout the Highlands. http://www.facebook.com/newstartbikes

Childrens races. Organised by Kingussie High School.
Starting at 12:30 there will be various races for different age-groups. We will also have a balanced bike race.
Mountain Bike rideout startAdult Ride-outs will be setting off on local routes at 1pm and 2.30pm each with qualified local leaders on. The rides will be of easy-moderate difficulty and will be around 90 minutes. Everyone is welcome and anyone of moderate fitness can bring their bike join in.
wildScreenHunter_40 Jun. 08 00.33Cyclewild Scotland Skills and coaching corner. We will have track with features such as ramps, rumble strips, see-saws and even a limbo bar. There will be a variety of kids bikes of different sizes available for loan. A number of supervisors will be on hand to give instructions and guidance.

Highlife Scotland will be running their popular spin challenge.

Stall bookings:
Outdoor stalls are being priced at £25, payable to the KCDC by contacting  bobkinnaird@btinternet.com. Remember to bring your own own table and chairs(s) as well as a gazebo to fit your pitch. Stall-holders outside the marquee are very welcome to bring any banners or other promotional material they wish to display. Any bikes or other exhibits must be displayed within the stall area.
3m x 3m stalls outside cost £25.

A table can also be reserved inside one of the marquees at the price of £10. Payment should be made to the Festivities group.
The festivities group are also organising all catering and refreshments on the day.
